Here’s what we’re crushing on this season: the must have boot. From the military boot to our classic Chelsea boot, these are the freaks to invest in now!

The change in season means it’s time to switch your summer sandals for an altogether more robust form of footwear. Classic styles that will work with your winter wardrobe (and wintry weather) are called for. Now's the time to start prepping your wardrobe for the coming cold. Soon the weather will change and the temps will take a dip, prompting you to move the sandals you’ve been living in the past several months to the back shelves of your closet and make way for a line-up of autumn-friendly shoes to take their place. Namely, a new pair of boots. To this end, the first step in kick starting your new-season shopping list is to consider the key boots to invest in now.

As if the end of summer wasn't hard enough to accept, fall tends to drive the point home with a shift towards deeper, moodier colours. But this season, you'll get to extend those bright, splashy vibes of summer into your autumn wardrobe. Colourful boots are having a moment but if you don’t feel comfortable with shades of purple, green, blue, and beyond saturating the market, you can choose one of our endless options of colourful soles to give your boots a pop of that much needed summer energy.

We've seen a slew of '70s trends make a comeback over the last few months as well. If you’re into this decade’s hues look for our light brown or burgundy leather tones to achieve an authentic retro vibe.

Give the barely-there sandal a break—this season’s Chelsea boots are the all-weather answer we’ve been waiting for. Chelsea boots set the scene for a very modern, unfussy kind of chic. They’re not something Cardi B has rapped about (at least not yet), but we believe they’ve been sung about long before by Nancy Sinatra in her iconic song, "These Boots Are Made for Walking." And she’s right. Heels intimidate; boots accommodate. Boots can be worn in any season with any kind of outfit. Boots also come in every form imaginable, making them the chameleon of footwear.

If reading all that made you want boots, then great news! October is the perfect month to buy them. We’re currently in this weird summer-isn’t-over-but-autumn-isn’t-here time frame when sandals aren’t appropriate but sneakers are overplayed. Ahh, boot season. What a joy. After months of booking repeat appointments for pedicures, it comes as something of a relief to hide our feet away for the next six months. Weather it’s drizzly days in the city or muddy countryside hikes, you will be hoping for stormy skies with the boots that are as fashionable as they are functional.
